How many plants should I buy?

That depends on how much you like asparagus, but the following table will give you guide:

12	15 sq. ft. e.g. 2 rows 6' x 2'6	6-9lb
24	40sq. ft. e.g. 3 rows 8' x 2'6	12-18lbs
48	78 sq. ft. e.g. 4 rows 12' x 2'6	24lbs-36lbs

Delivery cost is dependant upon weight. We try to make the package as light as possible. We use Royal Mail for delivery of our packages.
